we’re committed to lowering the financial barrier to wellness in Columbus, Ohio
pricing is on a sliding scale
sliding scale unlimited memberships
The sliding scale represents the idea that financial resources, including income, are not and should not be the only determining factor in whether or not someone can access services/care/etc. For a sliding scale to work it relies on the principles of truthfulness, respect for complexity, and accountability. I do not ask for income verification. I trust my students and practitioners to be honest.
Community thrives when accountability is a central value, because that is where trust grows and depth work can be done. Teachers deserve to get paid and students deserve classes which recognize the multiple realities of economic access and privilege that exist.
“At the end of the day, the sliding scale thrives on trust. Trust is a pretty amazing thing. ”

Determining Your Sliding Scale Tier
You know your situation better than anyone else, so I only ask that you approach sliding scale offerings with honesty, integrity, and self-compassion.
The top price membership is the actual cost of the tuition. If you choose a ticket price below the top tier you are receiving a discount.
The middle price is for those who are able to meet their basic needs but have little-to-no expendable income. Paying for this class may qualify as a sacrifice but it would not create hardship.
The bottom price is for those who struggle to meet basic needs and paying for this class would still be a significant hardship.
The Pay-It-Forward price is a few bucks above the actual cost of the class and that extra money goes towards supporting scholarships as well as future free and low-cost classes. Essentially it's an opportunity to not only take your class but also support your fellow community members while you're at it. Sweet!
If you cannot find yourself within this pricing model, please contact me directly so we can create an offering that works for you.
Sliding Scale Memberships
-
The Pay it Forward Membership is $150 for an unlimited monthly membership. This is the true value of the membership.
In the absence of a sliding scale, this would be the cost for access to some of the most incredible Ashtanga teachers in the city and a truly supportive student cohort.
If your income is stable, your anxieties rarely, if ever, revolve around financial security and can pay for “wants” on a consistent basis, this price is for you.
This price reflects the fact that you not only understand your proximity to power and your economic privilege in society, but it also reflects your understanding of the importance of paying this price. This price allows the other prices to exist, and that will never be taken for granted by the Yoga Club.
-
The actual cost of unlimited monthly classes. The Standard membership is $133 per month for an unlimited monthly membership. This middle ground is perfect if you do not feel fully represented in either the Supported Price or the Pay It Forward Price.
Using Worts & Cunning’s price description, this price is perfect for you if you have access to steady income and are not spending most of your time thinking about meeting basic needs like food, shelter, medical care, child care, etc. It does not mean that you aren’t actively working toward conquering debt or building savings, but consistent income is your lived experience.
This tier can also mean that you may have access to generational wealth or the ability to ask family or a partner for financial support, and we would greatly appreciate you using those resources before using the scale, as it can limit the opportunity for others to do so.

This membership is for those who are able to meet their basic needs but have little-to-no expendable income. Paying for this class may qualify as a sacrifice but it would not create hardship.
I may stress about meeting my basic needs but still regularly achieve them
I may have some debt but it does not prohibit attainment of basic needs
I own or lease a car
I am employed

I might have access to financial savings
I have some expendable income
I am able to buy some new items & I thrift others

-
The Supported Price is $85 for an unlimited monthly membership. This tier is for folks who don’t have an abundance of expendable income. Generational wealth is not your experience but supporting a family on your own single salary is.
If paying any more than $80/month for a membership would be detrimental to your monthly financial health, this is where you belong, and we’re happy you’re here.
